Welcome to AFK Artifact Co.

You are the newest intern assigned to breach recovery, artifact containment, and other duties that were probably not in the job listing. The facility is unstable. The equipment is suspicious. The enemies are mostly workplace hazards that learned how to bite.

Fight through turn-based containment breaches, collect cursed equipment, manage Lab Stability, customize your intern, and try not to make Dale personally inconvenienced.

This is a soft-launch candidate for AFK Artifact: Intern Protocol. Act 1 is playable, but balance, polish, and bug fixes are still being tuned based on feedback.

Current Features

• Turn-based JRPG-style combat

• Attack, Skills, Items, and Special / Field Protocol menus

• Gear drops with rarity, stats, effects, and scrap values

• Physical equipment bag with limited gear slots

• Separate consumable pouch

• Intern character customization

• Hair, eye, and jumpsuit color sliders

• Transmog-style visual gear overrides

• Dale’s Shop

• Facility Management console

• Lab Stability system

• Pre-stage story screens

• Boss encounters

• Critical 0 Stability Dale event

• Artifact Delivery Vault / gacha-style shard rolls

• Endless Zombie Horror Mode after Act 1 completion

• Original AFK Artifact Co. flavor, logs, and containment weirdness

How to Play

Start from the title screen, create or load your intern, then enter the containment bay.

Between breaches:

• Visit Dale’s Shop for consumables and gear

• Use the Intern Development Console for upgrades

• Queue Facility Management tasks to affect Lab Stability

• Open your Intern Bag to inspect, equip, or scrap gear

• Use the Artifact Delivery Vault for rare item rolls

During combat:

• Attack for basic damage

• Skills spend Focus for stronger effects

• Items use consumables from your pouch

• Special uses your equipped Field Protocol

• Watch enemy intents and status effects before choosing your action

Soft Launch Notes

This build is being released as a controlled soft launch. The core game loop is playable, but feedback is still needed.

Things I’m especially watching:

• Combat balance

• Gear drop pacing

• UI readability

• Layout behavior on different desktop screen sizes

• Boss difficulty

• Lab Stability usefulness

• Zombie Horror Mode reward pacing

Best played in a desktop browser.
